Time Out Market Lisbon

A few years ago the Ribiera Market in Lisbon has been changed into the Time Out Market. Part of it is still a classic fish & vegetable market, but the largest part is now filled with restaurants.

The concept is a number of food stalls where you can buy the food, and large tables in the center to eat it. Kind of food corner idea, but then for quality food. However some of the food stalls offer a number of seats at the stall.

There’s a large variety of choices from tapas style snacks to full plates. Also a good variety of drinks and deserts (like the delicious Santini icecream)

We sampled a number of dishes over 2 lunches, and the ones we appreciated most were at Cozinho da Liberdade, the stall by Chef Susana da Liberdade who is also the chef of Lisbon restaurant Pharmacia. My personal favorite was a green salad with cherries, goat cheese, almonds and honey icecream.
