Rotterdam Central Station

Easily the most beautiful train station in The Netherlands. And in my opinion one of the most beautiful train stations in Europe. The Rotterdam Central Station was completed in 2014 after many years of construction works. Goal was to keep the trains running during the construction works, and I guess that was quit a challenge.

The station was designed by┬áBenthem Crouwel Architects, MVSA Architects & West 8. And apart from the 110.000 passengers using the station every day, it is attracting a lot of tourists. It’s impossible to pass the station without seeing people taking pictures of the station.

There’s a lot to tell about the construction of the station (have a look here for more details) But the only advice I can give is, go to spend some time in Rotterdam, and visit the Central Station.
