Banksy in Amsterdam

You can see an exhibition of works of Banksy in Amsterdam now. In one of the most beautiful buildings of Amsterdam, the “Beurs van Berlage” a large number of works are exhibited.

There is still a lot of mystery about him. Who he is, and the message he wants to spread is not always clear. There are all kind of rumours of Banksy actually being o woman, or the alter ego of Damien Hirst. But most researchers think his real name is Robin Gunningham from Bristol in the UK.

The exhibition is not solving the mystery of Banksy. Maybe the mystery even becomes bigger. Since it’s not only street art he produces but also paintings and paste ups. Making him a very versatile artist.

If you like Banksys this exhibition is a must see. Amazing works at display. One of the guides told us the exhibition will be travelling, with Barcelona as the next stop. However in one of the comments below the organisation denied this next stop. So don’t take any risk and visit Amsterdam.

Below a few pictures, but there’s a lot more to see in Amsterdam at The Art of Banksy.

Excellent writing. However, THE ART OF BANKSY is not traveling to Barcelona after Amsterdam.

Thanks Martijn, one of the guides at the exhibition told us next stop will be Barcelona. So this is not moving on?
