Thierry Noir

Originally from French, but most famous for the paintings he made on the Berlin Wall before the wall got down in 1989. His colourful work can now be seen at the Howard Griffin gallery in Shoreditch, London.

I like his drawings, where all persons have their own character. Even though they are more icons than detailed paintings. At the exhibition in Shoreditch you really get immersed in his paintings. It’s Thierry Noir wherever you look.
